PROFESSIONAL RECORDS


Employment Record

1974- 1983:  Head of Fine Art department at Doctor Obote College Boroboro Lira.

1984:  Teaching Assistant at the school of fine art Makerere university Kampala- Uganda. (Lectured in sculpture and Modeling, painting, Drawing and objective studies 1st, 2nd , 3rd year  under graduate degree students)
1985-1988     Worked with African Heritage Ltd Nairobi Kenya as a sculpture Consultant and Production Manager (training Kenyan artists several approach to sculpture production in wood, soapstone, Metal and terracotta) quality controller for all the art facts sold at the African Heritage Gallery.
1988:            Apprenticed several Bachelor and Masters Degree students at California College of Arts & Crafts USA in handling metal, wood and stone sculptures.

Exhibitions and major commissions


1975:  Nommo gallery (Sculpture paintings and Drawings)
1976:  Gallery watatu in Nairobi (Sculptures and Drawings)
1976:  Exhibited Sculptures at the second world black African Arts and Culture festival in Lagos Nigeria. The exhibition was organized by the Uganda government, Ministry of Culture.
1979: Exhibited sculptures at the largest exhibition of the East African Sculptures in Stockholm sveagalleriet Sweden. The government of Kenya and the Swedish Development Authorities organized it.
1980-81: Exhibited Sculptures at the African Heritage gallery Nairobi Kenya.
1985-86: Exhibited sculptures at the worlds fare in Vancouver Canada. Organized by   Kenya Government.
1988: Exhibited in several art galleries in California USA.



Commissions


1972: Commission by professor Andrea Rendal of the department of Music, Dance & Drama at Makerere University Kampala. (I produced the head of Pantheus)
1983:  Commission of a large metal sculpture by the Uganda spinning Mill Ltd in Lira.
1984: Commission of a large metal sculpture by the president of the Republic of Uganda. The theme was “Medicines for Ugandans” and was presented to an organization based in overland park Kansas City USA.
1987: Commission of a large metal sculpture by the Kenya Cooperative bank NairobI produced “ a large steel sculpture which now stands before Nyeri cooperative bank Nyeri town Kenya 
1993: Commission by the President of the Republic of Uganda (I produced one large metal sculpture, Theme, “The Musician” which was presented to his Holiness pope John Paul II on his last visit to Uganda. The work is now placed in Vatican museum in Rome.
1996: Commissioned by the Uganda government and I produced one large metal       sculpture, which was presented to his lordship the Archbishop of Canterbury.
